Utah Jazz vs Sacramento Kings Prediction & Picks

DeMar DeRozan (Sacramento Kings) Over 7.5 Rebounds + Assists (-147)

As the Kings prepare to host the Jazz, DeMar DeRozan stands out as a prime candidate for the Over on 7.5 rebounds and assists. At home, he's been particularly effective, averaging 5.8 assists in his last five games, a number that rises even higher against Utah, where he's dished out 6.2 assists on average. His rebounding numbers, while slightly less impressive, still show promise; he's averaging 3.4 boards at home and has secured 4.4 against this Jazz squad recently. With his overall hit rate of 75% in his last four games, DeRozan is clearly in form, and the Kings' home advantage could be the catalyst for a standout performance. The implied probability of 59.5% suggests confidence in his ability to exceed that 7.5 mark. Look for DeRozan to orchestrate the offense, contributing both on the glass and with assists, making this bet not just reasonable

Brice Sensabaugh (Utah Jazz) Under 2.5 Assists (-185)

As Brice Sensabaugh hits the road to face the Kings, it's worth considering that he might struggle to hit the mark on assists. Averaging just 1.8 assists over his last five games, it's clear that he's not racking them up in heavy doses. Even in away games, where he's slightly better at 2.8, the matchup against the Kings could be particularly challenging. Historical data shows he's averaged just 1.2 assists against them, with a modest 2.5 when playing away. Given that he's exceeded the 2.5 threshold only in three of his last nine games, the under has proven to be a safe bet lately-hitting in eight of those last nine outings. With the Kings' defense tightening up, Sensabaugh may well find himself distributing the ball less than we'd like to believe. Taking the under on 2.5 assists seems like a wise wager in this matchup.
