In short: our picks come from our models, nobody changes them by hand, and if we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

Who runs Bet Better

Bet Better is an Australian sports data site, founded in 2024 by Edward Glush. Edward sets the rules every page follows and answers every correction request. Contact: edward@betbetter.world.

How the model and the desk work

  1. Each sport has its own model. It reads past games, team news and the prices on offer, then gives each result a chance.
  2. Our publishing system puts the model's numbers on the page as they come out. No person picks or tweaks a selection by hand.
  3. The model updates a few times a day as team news and prices change, so a pick can change before the game starts.
  4. We show how likely a pick is in words: HIGH, LEAN or LONG-SHOT. HIGH is about 6 in 10 or better, LEAN about 4 to 6 in 10, LONG-SHOT under 4 in 10.

Who writes the words

Match previews and our daily predictions pages are written from our model's data with an AI writing assistant. Each sport's pages carry a named writer persona, so you always know which model's work you are reading. The full list, and what each persona is, is on our writers page.

Our publishing system checks each page against our writing rules (plain words, the right teams and the right league) before it is listed for search. Our research studies are written and signed by Edward Glush (ORCID 0009-0008-4074-369X) and carry permanent DOIs.

Dates

Every article shows when it was first published. We show an updated date only when the words or the numbers on the page changed.

Corrections

If a name, number, score or claim on our site is wrong, email edward@betbetter.world with the page link. We check it, fix the page and reply, usually the same day.
