We strip the bookmaker's margin out of the odds to get a fair price, and we anchor that fair line to the sharp betting exchanges (Betfair, Smarkets, Matchbook) — not a soft-book average that flatters the edge. When the best price across ~50 books beats that sharp fair line, the bet has genuine positive expected value.

We calibrate the model — then blend with the market

A raw model can be over-confident. We calibrate ours against settled results so our stated probabilities are honest (our 60% picks win about 60%), then blend toward the sharp market on the markets where the market is simply more accurate than we are. Where our model doesn't beat the market, we defer to it — and show nothing rather than force a pick.

The honest test of any model is closing-line value: how often our published price beat the market's closing price. Beating the close consistently is the strongest evidence of a real edge, because it's independent of short-term luck. We publish our full settled record, wins and losses, and our CLV — openly.
