Scoring AFL Fantasy
AFL Fantasy scoring: Official AFL Fantasy scoring: a kick 3, a handball 2, a mark 3, a tackle 4, a hitout 1, a goal 6, a behind 1, a free kick for 1 and a free kick against −3. Where a bookmaker prices a player's Fantasy line we use the model's projection of that line directly; otherwise we score the components we project (hitouts, behinds and frees aren't projected, so they score 0).
Warming up. Projections go up once the model has this round's games, usually the morning after the lines post. Nothing here is ever guessed: no game, no projection. In the meantime: AFL player props, the model's free pick, who's playing and every sport's fantasy projections.
