NFL power rankings

Every team rated by who they beat and by how much. A rating of +5 means the team has played about five points better than an average opponent; 0 is dead-average. Strength of schedule is built in — beating good teams counts for more.

How it works: we take every completed game, cap blowout margins so one rout can't own a rating, and solve for the set of ratings where each team's number equals its average margin plus the average rating of the teams it faced. That is the classic Simple Rating System — fully reproducible from public scores, no human votes. Ratings recompute daily as results land.
