What is a player prop bet?

A player prop is a bet on one player's numbers in a game, like points, disposals or goals, not on who wins.

Example: LeBron James over 24.5 points at $1.87: bet $10, and if he scores 25 or more you get $18.70 back.

Most props are over or under a set number. Some are yes or no, like to score a try.

If the player doesn't play, most bookies void the bet and give your stake back.

As of 5 October, the bookies keep about $7 of every $100 bet on player bets across the games we track.
