What is a winning margin bet?

A winning margin bet is on how much a team wins by, picked from bands like 1-39 or 40+ in AFL, or 1-12 and 13+ in NRL.

Example: Bet $10 on the Storm 1-12 at $2.40. If they win by anywhere from 1 to 12 points, you get $24 back.

Bands differ from bookie to bookie, so check the band before you bet.

If the team loses, or wins by more than the band, the bet loses.

As of 5 October, the bookies keep about $5 of every $100 bet on line and spread bets across the games we track.
