What does odds-on mean?

Odds-on means the price is under $2.00, so you win less than you bet because the bookie thinks it will happen more often than not.

Example: At $1.50, a $20 bet gives back $30 if it wins: $10 profit for risking $20. In US odds, $1.50 is -200.

The opposite is odds-against: any price over $2.00.

Odds-on does not mean safe. A $1.50 shot still loses about 1 time in 3 at a fair price.

As of 5 October, the bookies keep about $5 of every $100 bet on who-wins bets across the games we track.
