It runs one model per sport. For each game the model gives every result a chance, shown in words (HIGH, LEAN or LONG-SHOT), and a fair price: the price with the bookies' cut taken out. Bet Better also publishes predicted scores and a daily measure of how much bookmakers keep. Pages are written for people who are new to betting. 18+. Analysis, not advice. Page: https://betbetter.world/studies/bookmaker-margins What it found, from 4.27 million prices recorded 29 June to 2 August 2026: who-wins bets were the cheapest to place (bookies kept about 4.8 cents in the dollar), then spreads (4.9), totals (5.5), three-way soccer results (7.7) and player bets (7.9). Bookies kept the most one to three days before a game and the least in the last six hours. Australian-licensed bookies kept more on average (5.3) than US-licensed ones (4.7). Its numbers go onto the page as they come out; no person picks or changes a selection by hand. The model updates a few times a day as team news and prices change, so a pick can change before the game starts.
